Years ago, Hannah fell in love. Her dream vacation held every girl’s fairytale romance. The stranger who stopped to help when she had a flat tire became her knight-in-shining armor when he carried her off on his shining modern steed – his motorcycle. Her one-week whirlwind romance ends in a fairytale marriage. Her dream come true, however, turns into a nightmare when she awakes the morning after her wedding to an empty room with her new husband gone. Her heart is shattered, but her Christian faith remains strong. When she discovers she’s pregnant, she’s too embarrassed to continue in her old job as church secretary and choir director. So she takes on the job of singer in a supper club lounge. She dreams of someday buying the club from her grandfatherly boss and turning it into a combined Christian Book Store-Coffee House.

Hannah’s heart was shattered once, and now it seems it will be again when her dreams are dashed by the owner selling the restaurant unexpectedly to someone else. When she finds out he’s sold it to none other than the man who stole her heart, broke it, and left her alone raising their son— she’s left with not only her dreams shattered, but her job at stake as well.

Even more devastating, she knows who he is, but he acts as though he doesn’t know her. And she finds his frequent trance states quite troubling. God leads her to someone totally unexpected who sheds some light on the situation. But will she be able to figure out what to do with the information she’s given? Only God can give her the real answers she needs. Will Brock ever recognize her as someone he once fell madly in love with? When she finally shares the truth of her identity, will her heart be broken all over again?

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It kept me captivated and intrigued the entire time. It was very real and the secondary characters were intriguing as well without making you lose focus on the main characters. I’d love to see a sequel or two sharing their stories as well. Mrs. Latham tells her story in a charming and creative way. Her devout faith shines through in her writing and I was impressed by that. God’s amazing power and healing touch shines through in this book. I highly recommend it. Congratulations, Delia. Well done!
